In this page, we’d like to tell you more about us, so that while at Floripa, you’ll feel at home and be at ease to ask us for information and to tell us your needs and requests. We are a small team of people coming worldwide and working hard but at the same time really enjoy the company of our guests, love spending time at the beach (we basically all kitesurf!), and practicing yoga.
We want your stay at Floripa Yoga & Kitesurf House to be exactly what you want it to be.
Morning yoga as the sun comes up, a long lazy breakfast with new friends, a post-lunch nap in one of our famous hammocks, and a sunset walk along the beach. Or… non-stop water sports, beers, bbqs and laughs. Unlike many retreats, we don’t have a set schedule you have to follow. We go with the flow and invite you to do the same.

Floripa Surf House opened in 2007, when Ettore, after traveling all the continents, decided to live in Sicily, close to the sea.it started from a passion of sharing the world of Kitesurfing - small and intimate Floripa was only proposing bunkbeds for kite enthusiasts.
Through the years of evolution Floripa integrated Yoga and many new houses to welcome more cool people from all around the world.
Today Floripa is a well established Yoga center where yogis meet in the morning and evenings to practice, and kiters meet at Zuma to go riding the waves during the afternoons.
We have more than 1.000 people coming over throughout the season from all over the world, international yoga teachers who come seasonally to share their passione with us and international staff as well!
The team counts people from Sicily, north of Italy, UK, Czech Republic, Poland, Mauritius, Germany, Switzerland, Argentina and many more countries!
Values at our house are respect, kindness, love for life and simple things.

Our Teachers are all IKO certified and count years of experience. They will follow you step by step sharing their best tips and bring you to the next level! They speak Italian, English, Spanish, French and Portuguese.

Boss of the School and kite instructor, no need to worry about anything when you are with him!

Chiara
Chiara, originally from Ispica, is the main receptionist! Super organized and helpful, you can always ask her for all your needs 😉 In her free time she loves taking car of foster animals and go to concerts.
Giusy
Giusy is full time working home since she had Giulio, his first baby boy! Super organized and helpful, she will be replying to your emails and assisting you in all the "before arriving" process.
Giovanna
Giovanna is part of the Floripa Staff since 2018 and since we found her.. we cannot do without her! She’s the mum of Ettore’s bestfriend, you will not see her a lot around since she prefers staying in the kitchen to create for you delicious and rich buffet for breakfast. She will win you over with her Focaccia!
Chef Francesco
Francesco is the new entry at Floripa! He worked for all his careers in important Kitchens everywhere, until two years ago decided to create his life with sea view, and possibly a van where to travel with, when looking for perfect wind and waves. He cooks by heart, you will taste his incredible passion in very fresh meal you will enjoy!
Giada
Giada (or Giadina) is our Brand Manager, arrived at Floripa as a volunteer in 2016, and never left since then! Now In charge of Floripa Yoga Academy and marketing.
Zia Lorenza
Lorenza is Simona’s auntie, she has been with us since 2015, and she is the housekeeper. All of us call her “zia” (the Italian of auntie), you can also do it! If you need one more towel or anything related to the cleanness of your room, she is the right person to ask : always available and helpful.
Paolo
Paolo is a friendly and active young man who joined the Floripa team in 2024 as the person in charge of maintenance. When he’s not working, you’ll likely find Paolo playing volleyball at Zuma or enjoying an aperitivo while watching the sunset. His energy and enthusiasm make him a great part of the Floripa team.
Volounteers
Every summer we host young volunteers who would like to spend their holidays at our place, They help us run everything smoothly and in the meanwhile enjoy beach life. You will meet them all around, they are the young energy of the house!
Furry Friends
Floripa could not be the same with all the love our beloved pets gift us and our guests everyday! During your stay you will enjoy the company of our cats (difficult to give an exact number, but each one has a different story to tell!) and two dogs, Manera and Coco.
